Missions
Oakwood Home For Women in Recovery: Oakwood was founded by members of St. Luke’s, along with others in the community, to fulfill a need for a structured environment for women attempting to turn their lives around from the destruction of addiction to alcohol and drugs.
Pumpkin Patch: In October, we sell pumpkins and host area school children. The money which this project generates is strictly for mission work. Some of the people who have benefited from these efforts include Providence House, Sager Brown, Ruston Children’s Home, Oakwood Home for Women, and many more. The 2010 pumpkin patch will be from Sunday, October 3rd until Saturday, October 31st.
Weekend of the C.R.O.S.S.: This annual event held in the Shreveport-Bossier area brings youth in 6th-12th grade together for four days to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the community, such as the elderly, poor and disabled. Youth and adults from across the Northwest Louisiana area gather for a time of service and worship as they strive to renovate homes around the community and celebrate the work that God is doing through them.
