RETHINKCHURCH seeks to redefine the church experience beyond the church doors and invite people to become engaged in the world. It is the next evolution of the “Open hearts. Open minds. Open doors” campaign of The United Methodist Church that has reached so many for Christ over the past seven years. The campaign aims to spark a global conversation around the rhetorical question, “What if church were a verb?”
At St. Luke’s we are entering into this process of rethinking church. Not in terms of what it is, but what it could be. It’s not rethinking our theology or the scriptures, but rethinking the way our church makes contact with the world. Outbound. Unbound. Active.
