Small Groups
United Methodist Men: This group is made up of men in our church who come together and meet periodically.
Meals are always served at the meetings, UMM has two events each year that support a scholarship for students studying for church careers. These events are the Valentines Dinner in February and the Fish Fry in May.
United Methodist Women: United Methodist Women have been in existence in mission for 136 years, and we are proud to say that we have a very active membership who make up two different Interest Groups here at St. Luke’s.
The Mary and Martha Group meets the third Tuesday of each month at 10:00am in the Ben Davis Room.
The Lunch Bunch Group meets the third Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon in the conference room. This group shares a light lunch and has an abbreviated program in order to accommodate any working women who wish to attend.
Both groups have two Mission Studies and one Spiritual Growth Study each year and are required to take some sort of action following each in order to get credit for them.
Koinonia Breakfast Group: Everyone is welcome to attend our sessions from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. each Wednesday morning. Enjoy good food, fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.
Upper Third: is a group of older adults that meets in the Fellowship Hall the second Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. This is an interdenominational group and all are invited. We have enlightening programs, fellowship and a covered dish for all who attend. We also celebrate members’ birthdays each month. Average attendance is 50 adults. This ministry has endured for over 20 years.
